DESIGN----This is a schlenk flask comprised of a round bottom flask with an only opening at top assessed by a high vacuum valve to exchange the atmosphere of the tube to flush the tube with an inert gas.There is a tubing on side-arm used to attach a schlenk line(vacuum gas distributor line) via a vacuum tubing to get the vacuum or inert gas.The round bottom can be heated directly evenly by an open flame or a heating mantle.
USE---The schlenk flask with high vacuum valve is usually used as a storage flask or reaction flask in air-sensitive chemistry with high sealing performance.The high vacuum valve at top is not only used to control the liquid or gas flow,but also can be removed off to add or transfer materials.For a reaction setup, this flask is used to conduct reactions at elevated pressures and temperatures as a closed system.
DIMENSIONS----This round bottom schlenk flask is suppplied with a 0-4mm high vacuum valve with PTFE O-ring at top and PTFE wiper to protect the O-ring on shaft.Capacity of 25mL.
HEAVY WALL ---This schlenk tube is heavy-wall designed , made by hand-blowing according to ASTM E438 ,made of high-quality borosilicate glass and annealed at 800 degree Celsius ,can be heated directly in an open flame and can withstand typical laboratory thermal variations in Chemistry processes like heating and cooling,durable and reusable.
